Our Work
Nabni aims to support locally-led reconstruction processes in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region
Working exclusively with local civil society organisations, promoting and strengthening peace in communities is the primary objective of the work supported by the Facility.
Together with our partners, we aim to understand and address underlying drivers of tensions and to renew social relations in communities of focus, while creating new economic opportunities, supporting the restoration of infrastructure and services and strengthening local governance.
Three Pillars of Our Work
01. Financing & Partnerships
Providing multi-year funding and developing equitable partnerships with local civil society actors in conflict and displacement affected communities in the MENA region. For further details, please refer to our Grant Allocation Manual.
02. Technical Assistance & Capacity Development
For partner local civil society actors to support delivery as well as supporting organisational priorities identified by them. For further details, please refer to the Technical Assistance and Capacity Development document.
03.Knowledge Exchange & Learning
Both between partner organisations and with a range of actors working on similar issues in the MENA region and beyond. For further details, please refer to the Knowledge Exchange & Learning document.
Where We Work
The Nabni Building for Peace (B4P) Facility has ongoing partnerships in Iraq and Yemen. We aim to operationalise partnerships in Syria in 2025. Subsequent phases may include additional countries in the region.
